A Prayer for Franciscan Aid
Heavenly Father, we are reminded in the Principles that Our Lord Jesus Christ came to serve others, and that Tertiaries’ chief form of service is to reflect the love of Christ. As St Francis vowed to follow His Lord, grant us the strength to work for the relief of pain and suffering, sharing the generosity of our Sisters and Brothers with integrity, care and love. Amen
Franciscan Aid is a Charitable Trust of the Third Order, Society of Saint Francis (TSSF) It works through Franciscans on the ground across the world to relieve poverty and advance access to education, primarily in the world’s poorest countries, where the needs may not be covered by other international agencies.
To date FA have been involved in funding in the following countries

- Through the Provinces of the Society, we cover the majority of the world by our association with members of the First Order (SSF & CSF).
- All of our work is upheld by the prayers of the Society as a whole.
- We seek to respond to those situations where need is identified by one of our brothers and sisters.
- We offer key financial assistance to projects involved in:
- community sustainability
- educational support
- enhancing community skill base
- promoting self help
- ecological focus
- building resilience for the future of society.
- All our supported projects have a Franciscan Project Link involved with them.
